wake up
Funny how people today are so proud to post/share/make a profile pic/albums on what is haram. Funny how some people are proud of their sins. Publicize haram/sins seems the norm today. And the funny part is they think it is cool and hip. We are WHO we spent our time with, We are WHAT we spent our time on. halal is halal, haram is haram. seeking islamic knowledge should NOT be a once a week thing. it shows and its not funny #muslimspleasewakeup

as mentioned by Rasulullah s.a.w. which means: “All of my ummah will be forgiven except those who openly commit sins. Among them was a man who at night time performs one act of immorality yet Allah covered his shame, but when the morning came, he said: ‘Oh So and so, last night I had done this and that.’ During the night his Lord had covered his shame, but when the morning comes, he opened what has already been covered.” Hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari dan Muslim.

shame
From Abdullah bin Mas’ud, he said: Rasulullah s.a.w. said:
“Be ashamed of Allah, Oh people, in the truest sense of shame.”
We asked: “O Messenger of Allah! Verily we are indeed ashamed,
Alhamdulillah! (All Praises be to Allah).
Rasulullah s.a.w. then said:
“That is not it, but being ashamed before Allah in the truest sense of the word is that you protect your mind and all that is in it,
you protect your stomach and all that is in it,
and you must remember death and destruction.
He who desires the Hereafter and leave behind all worldly pleasures,
and whosoever does so, feels ashamed (before Allah) is the truest sense of shame.” Hadith narrated by Imam Tirmidzi.

book of knowledge
The first duty of the student is to purify his soul from impure traits and blameworthy characteristics because knowledge is the worship of man’s heart as well as the prayer of his inmost self (sirr) and the oblation of his inward being before Allah. Just as prayer, which is the duty of the physical senses, is not fulfilled unless the physical body has been purified from excrements and impurities, so is the worship of the inward being as well as the reformation of the heart: they, are not fulfilled through knowledge unless they first be cleansed from impurities and uncleanliness.

ibelieve
May Allah and Rasullah s.a.w be in our heart always.
iBelieve.
When you’re searching for the light
And you see no hope in sight
Be sure and have no doubt
He’s always close to you
He’s the one who knows you best
He knows what’s in your heart
You’ll find your peace at last
If you just have faith in Him (Allah)
You’re always in our hearts and minds (Allah)
Your name is mentioned every day (Allah)
I’ll follow you no matter what
My biggest wish is to see you one day
Chorus:
I believe
I believe
Do you believe, oh do you believe?
Coz I believe
In a man who used to be
So full of love and harmony
He fought for peace and liberty
And never would he hurt anything
He was a mercy for mankind
A teacher till the end of time
No creature could be compared to him
So full of light and blessings
You’re always in our hearts and minds (Rasulullah)
Your name is mentioned every day (Rasulullah)
I’ll follow you no matter what (Rasulullah)
If God wills we’ll meet one day (Rasulullah)
If you lose your way
Believe in a better day
Trials will come
But surely they will fade away
If you just believe
What is plain to see
Just open your heart
And let His love flow through
I believe I believe, I believe I believe
And now I feel my heart is at peace
I believe I believe, I believe I believe..

reason for unanswered prayer/ Dua'
It is reported that Ibrâhîm b. Adham (d162H) – Allâh have mercy on him – once passed through the market of Basrah. People gathered around him and asked:
O Abû Ishâq, Allâh the Exalted says in his Book. ‘Call on me, I will answer your prayers’, but we have been calling on Him for a long time and He does not answer our prayers. [Ibrâhîm] replied,
"O people of Basrah, your hearts have died in respect to ten things:
First, you know Allâh but you do not give Him His rights;
second, you have read Allâh’s Book but you do not act by it;
third, you claim to love Allâh’s Messenger – Allâh’s peace and blessings be upon him – yet you abandon his Sunnah;
fourth, you claim to be enemies to Shaytân but you conform to [his ways];
fifth, you say you love Paradise yet you do not work for it;
sixth, you say you fear The Fire yet you put yourselves closer to it [by sinning]; seventh, you say death is true but you do not prepare for it;
eighth, you busy yourselves with the faults of others and disregard your own;
ninth, you consume the favors of your Lord but are not grateful for them;
and tenth, you bury your dead but take no lesson from them."

self reminder
The Qur'an and Sunnah should be the air we breathe.
Never say it is hard to go back to islam, baby steps counts.
For those who are there, concentrate on ihsan.
Have good people around us, that constantly remind us of Allah,Allah,Allah.
Attend once a week, study circle and not comfort entertainment solely, feed the brain,
especially religious knowledge. Attend halaqahs.
Be good to our parents, there's lots of barakah there.
Be good to people in general.
When religion starts to become an alibi for not being ethical, we have a problem.
Muslims should be beneficial to others.

"Dear Heart, Welcome to the Dunya (World) where you can’t be with everyone you love, you can’t have everything you want, and everything is temporary here. But be patient and strive for the Akhirah, you can have anything that you desire, and you can be with whoever you love, and the best part is, everything is forever" - Islamic Reflections.
7 Habits of Highly Effective Muslims
"There are seven whom Allah will shade in His Shade on the Day when there is no shade except His Shade: a just ruler; a youth who grew up in the worship of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; a man whose heart is attached to the mosques; two men who love each other for Allah’s sake, meeting for that and parting upon that; a man who is called by a woman of beauty and position [for illegal intercourse], but be says: ‘I fear Allah’, a man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity; and a man who remembered Allah in private and so his eyes shed tears."

1. They Remember Their sins
Some people fall into the habit of judging others by their sins while forgetting their own. They may not even think the sins they’ve committed are all that bad. This is a sign of weak Muslim.
A believer sees his sins as if he were sitting under a mountain which he is afraid may fall on him, whereas the wicked person considers his sins as flies passing over his nose and he just drives them away like this.
Related in Bukhari
Of course, if you see someone doing wrong, you should advise him or her to change their behavior. But don’t become arrogant or prideful because you are not committing that sin. In fact, you should reflect on the sins you have committed and turn to Allah for repentance.
Who knows? Perhaps that person is doing something else that Allah loves. And perhaps you are doing something else that Allah hates.
By constantly remembering and being mindful of the sins you commit, you will be more inclined to repent, change your behavior, and do good deeds to make up for them, Inshallah.
2. They Mind Their Business
People like to think that only women engage in gossip. I can tell you from experience, that is not true. Muslim men can be some of the worst gossipers and backbiters around. And this is unfortunate given how many warnings there are of such horrible behavior.
How do people fall into gossiping and backbiting? By not minding their own business. These people hear a rumor or a tale, and before the next prayer comes in, they’ve spread it to a dozen other people. And then those people turn around and do the same thing.
If only we would remember what Allah says in His book:
And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer.
(And) scorner going about with malicious gossip.
A preventer of good, transgressing and sinful.
Chapter 68 verses 10-12
These are some pretty strong words coming from our Lord condemning this behavior. So, rather than mind other folks’ business, and spread rumors, tales and gossip, how about we just tend to our own affairs?
Are they not complicated enough to keep us busy for a lifetime?
3. They Say What is Good
This goes hand in hand with the previous habit. Whereas Habit #2 was just to mind your own business and not say evil, Habit #3 is encouragement to say good.
Anyone who believes in Allah and the last day, should speak good or keep quiet.
Related in Bukhari
There you have it. Advice directly from the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) telling us to say something good or shut up. I don’t mean to put it so bluntly but that’s the gist of it.
This advice doesn’t just mean speak good of people. It means to speak good about everything. Here are some examples:
Rather than complain, be grateful and praise Allah for what you have.
Rather than be boastful, once again, be grateful and praise Allah for what He’s given you.
Rather than criticize, advise and compliment on the good someone does.
Have you ever noticed how a negative person, who always has negative things to say, also seems to always bring a negative feeling with them? It’s like negativity is contagious. They are always complaining, nagging, and criticizing.
Don’t be like that person.
When you think about it, saying something good is really not all that difficult. When you’re about to say something bad or negative, try to think of something good (or at least neutral) to say.
And if you can’t, just shut up.
4. They Keep Good Company
If you want to fulfill the previous three habits, you should be around people who want the same. You’ll find yourself very ineffective if you’re always surrounded by people who think they’re better than others, are always minding other people’s business, and cannot say good.
So if you’re serious about becoming an effective Muslim, you should take a close look at the people you spend time with. If you can convince them to change their ways, that is best. But if not, maybe it’s time to find new friends.
Consider the following Hadith:
A good friend and a bad friend are like a perfume-seller and a blacksmith: The perfume-seller might give you some perfume as a gift, or you might buy some from him, or at least you might smell its fragrance. As for the blacksmith, he might singe your clothes, and at the very least you will breathe in the fumes of the furnace.
Related in Bukhari
Once again, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is giving it to us in a clear and beautiful manner. If you hang around good people, that goodness will rub off on you. If you hang around negative people, that same negativity will rub off on you, and may eventually lead you astray.
So if you don’t want to get burnt, find some good friends.
5. They Do Not Procrastinate
I’m going to have to come clean here. I am very often a big procrastinator. And the funny thing is, whenever I procrastinate, things turn out worse than if I had done it immediately in the first place.
Though I sometimes put off doing things that are important in my daily life, I rarely put off religious duties. However, this is a problem that many Muslims have.
How many people owe days of fasting from the last Ramadan but put them off for months? Some people have to rush to get these days in just weeks or even days before the next Ramadan begins.
How many people have money and the health to make Hajj but wait years and years to make it? Some people wait until they reach old age and have to to visit the Kaaba with multiple illnesses and difficulties.
How many people routinely procrastinate in making their daily prayers? The best of these procrastinators rush to get their prayer in before time is out. The worst completely miss the prayers due solely to procrastination.
Procrastinating in your daily duties is bad enough. Please don’t procrastinate with the orders of Allah.
6. They Put Their Trust in Allah
There are many verses in the Quran instructing us to put our trust in Allah. But I’m going to only quote one of them:
And (Allah) will provide for him from where he does not expect. And puts their trust in Allah – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a (decreed) measure.
Chapter 65 verse 3
Well, there you got it; straight from The Creator. If you put your trust in Allah, then He is all you need.
We often fall into the trap of putting our trust in the creation. We ask help from people who cannot help us. We complain to people who have no authority. Instead, we should seek help and complain to Allah Almighty.
Of course, if you do need assistance and you know of someone who has the ability to help, it is okay to ask them for help. But understand that whatever help they can provide ultimately comes from Allah. After all, even that person may let you down. But if you put your trust in Allah, He will never let you down.
7. They Remain Mindful of Allah
This is the most important habit of them all.
If you do not remember Allah, you will not think of your own sins and seek repentance for them.
If you do not remember Allah, you will not try to avoid His punishment by minding your own business without falling into backbiting and slander.
If you do not remember Allah, you will not try to seek His favor by saying what is good.
If you do not remember Allah, you will not seek out good company who are also focused on remembering Allah.
If you do not remember Allah, you will never be able to put your trust in Him and will always look for help from those who can do you no good.
These are not the only things we can do to become effective Muslims. I’m sure you can think of many more habits that will bring you closer to Allah and improve your daily life. But these seven habits of highly effective Muslims is a great place to start.
May Allah make it easy for you and me to implement these habits every day of our lives.
Ameen.

Ameen.

virtues
The Virtues of The First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah By Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi Dear readers, tomorrow, Friday, is the first day of Dhul Hijja, which is the last month of the lunar hijri year in the Islamic calendar; it is also the month of pilgrimage.
Moreover, the first ten days of it are the best days in this world according to the words of the Prophet PBUH in a sound piece of Tradition in Sahih Ibn Hibban. Also, Allah Almighty made a special mention of these ten days and honoured them by making an oath by them in the beginning of Surat Al-Fajr, {والفجر وليال عشر} "By the Dawn, and by the Ten Nights"; according to the commentators, these are the first ten days of this month.
Allah ordered us to make dhikr of Him in these days when He Almighty referred to them in Surat Al-Hajj {ويذكروا اسم الله في أيام معلومات} "To make mention of Allah in these known days".
Our Beloved Prophet PBUH made good works in these ten days better than working in any other days as in hadith narrated in the Sahih of imam Bukhari.
Imam Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani explains why these days are the best days of the year by pointing out to the fact that they include all major acts of worship in Islam, namely prayer, fasting, charity and pilgrimage. which do not come together except in other months.
So, it is recommended to do a lot of extra acts of worship in these days such as fasting the first nine days; doing a lot of extra dhikr, especially takbir and tahlil; reciting the Holy Qur'an and much more.
Seize this opportunity; as we are never sure whether we live till next year to compensate. Show the best of yourself in the field of prayer, dhikr, Qur'an and visit the masjids more often to deserve the celebration of eid even if you do not go for hajj.
We will speak later insha Allah on the Day of 'Arafah With my salaam and du'a to all of you who have read this to the end.

ten days of Dhul-Hijjah
The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are marked blessed for both, the pilgrims and the non-pilgrims. Rewards of good deeds are multiplied in these days. Imaam Ibn Qayyim (rahimahullah) (d. 751H) said: “Indeed, its days are the most excellent of all the days with Allah.
It has been confirmed in Saheeh al-Bukharee from Ibn Abbas (radhi allahu anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) said: “No deed are more virtuous than deeds on these days.” The companions asked: 'Not even Jihad (fighting in Allah's Cause)?' He (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) replied: “Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah, unless a man goes out risking himself and his wealth for the sake of Allah, and does not come back with anything.” [Saheeh al-Bukharee vol: 2, no: 457]
And it is these ten days, of which Allah takes an oath saying: “By the dawn; by the ten nights.” [Soorah al-Fajr (89): 1-2]
This is why it is recommended to increase in making Takbeer, Tahlil and Tamhid during these days.” [Zaad al-Ma'aad vol: 1, pp: 56]
May Allah ta'ala grant us the tawfeeq to increase in righteous deeds,
and accept from all of us. Ameen!

purpose
human beings are always in need..
what is the purpose of life?
what will you do on your last day?
How do we get freedom?
How do you know what you like what you like?
Master your emotions or you are going to be trapped by emotions.
"You will never experience Freedom,
if you don't get the sense of what Discipline is."

bcoz of love
Because of love he/she will do anything for him/her.
Because of love he/she will sacrifice time, strength and money.
Because of love we would stay away from whatever that makes him/her angry.
The lover and the beloved.
The lover will do anything for the beloved.
The servant will do anything to have the love of his/her Creator.
How can one say he/she love one another but does not do what he/she loves?
Same goes, how can one say we love Allah but does not do what He commands?
How can one say he/she loves Prophet Muhammad s.a.w but does do his sunnah?
How can one say he/she loves Islam but does not practice it?
Love is expressing through actions.
And the best love is loving The One who gives love.
for He is non other but Allah..Allah..Allah..

feed
We feed the Mind with knowledge, useful knowledge or not its your choice.
We feed the Body with food, healthy or not its your choice.
We feed the Soul with the remembrance of Allah, daily or not its your choice.
We are accountable for the choices that we make,
With every choice comes consequences.
Having useless knowledge inputted into our brain is simply useless, a waste of time, not beneficial.
Having unhealthy food in our body will only attract sickness, laziness, poor performance (school, work etc).
Having the soul empty will give us the following : daily wrong judgement, thinking with our emotions 1st, act on anger, thinks that we are always right, does not think of the less fortunate, empty soul effects the body and mind, gives us a lost of direction, the haram seems halal, the wajib seems heavy, the sunnah seems unimportant, the makruh seems ok, heart break here and there, the quran is only for ramadhan, going to the mosque only on a friday, the norm is right and islam is seasonal, - these and many more Will happen due to an empty soul.
As we cant go a day without eating/drinking.
We need to feed all these 3 essentials daily.
The most important of the 3 is the Soul.
So,
What do we choose to feed our soul today?
Choices.
Remember, We are what we choose.
It's all about the heart. It's all about the soul.

preparation
"What have I prepared for the next life?
Doctors today speak of how people are living longer than ever before. In some countries, people live well beyond 90 years of age. Some of us may delay doing good deeds because we think we have a long life ahead of us. But, when Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala (exalted is He) speaks of the Day of Judgment, He (swt) tells us that people will feel that they’ve only stayed in the dunya (this life) for a day or part of a day or even an hour. While 90 years is a long time to live, it does not compare to eternity. People will only realize that the next life is truly everlasting when they are standing in front of Allah (swt) and are seeing it with their own eyes. This is why the strongest motivation for a believer to do good deeds and stay away from sins, after seeking the pleasure of Allah (swt), is to remember death and the hereafter." - Amatullah

choices
Its all about choices. We choose what phone we wanna use, what clothing we wanna wear, what brand, what color etc. Choices. We also choose what Muslim we wanna be. Its either a whinny Muslim who Complaints a lot or a Thankful Muslim. Choices. We choose to be a Positive-Thinking Muslim, or a Muslim who likes to Blame others. The choice is ours, its all about choices. We also choose to be a Muslim by Name or a Practical Muslim. At the end of the day We are Accountable of the choices We make. May we always be guided by Him s.w.t in our choice making insya Allah amin.
was easy
"Throughout Ramadan we find ourselves getting really tired physically.
A lack of food and a lack of sleep cause our daily routine to be a little lopsided.
On the other hand, our souls were more alive than they had been in the past 11 months!Du`a’ (supplication) was easy! Dhikr (remembrance of God) was easy! Prayer was easy! In this is a sign. Just as the body becomes tired when it does not get its proper food, the soul becomes really tired when it does not get its proper spiritual food."

about taqwa
A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about taqwa. The Prophet ﷺ pointed at his chest and said ‘at-taqwa hahuna’ or ‘taqwa resides here.’ The Prophet ﷺ was telling us that you cannot judge a person’s taqwa based on his appearance. A person may be dressed in a manner that is seemingly ‘religious’ and be a person who has very little taqwa. Likewise, a person may be dressed in a manner that we do not find fit for our own selves, yet they may have more taqwa than we could ever imagine.
seek
Many of us seek forgiveness from Allah during Ramadan, but abandon this practice once Ramadan is over. Keep in mind that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to repent to Allah a hundred times every single day. Repenting often keeps our hearts clean and always connected to Allah.
